Project Details
- Roles:
- Creative Direction
- Challenge:
- The biggest challenge to this logo was the Arabic characters. I wanted this logo to reflect the authenticity of the institute and it’s location. Originally I intended to use the Thuluth calligraphy script, but after some discussion with some calligraphers, I was directed toward the Kufi script.
- Process:
- The door–knocker is an actual door–knocker in the Old City of Sana’a. Friend Angelo Miramonti took the picture for me, and I doctored it up.
- Result:
- The logo is a pronounced improvement from the old design. Most students and visitors seem to be very pleased with the design.
